Passing of DNA Vice-Chair and Local Deptford Historian Richard Katona
It is with deep regret that we are informing DNA Members about the passing of our great Historian, Richard Katona, our DNA Vice-Chair, who very sadly died on 28th Jan 2021, after contracting COVID-19.
DNA will be dedicating the Deptford Neighbourhood Plan to him, and we are in talks with the Evelyn Tenant Resident Association (of which he was also Vice-Chair) to find a way to celebrate Richard’s energy, passion and commitment for Social Justice, Local Heritage and community involvement through a dedication on the Evelyn Estate where he lived for forty years. A message has also been sent to the family passing on our respects. Please know that we are here for each other.
Stay safe.
