Purely personal opinion, but as a mobility-impaired blue badge driver I would like to see the provision of blue badge parking bays adjacent to rail stations. I would love to be able to get out and about more by using public transport – which of course would also be beneficial for my health – but am largely unable to do this because I can’t get to the transport hubs without driving. This situation has got worse recently, since the introduction of numberplate recognition at supermarket carparks – this makes it difficult to use buses, too, because two hours isn’t enough time to go anywhere and get back.

Thank you for your comment we are having a meeting this Saturday 23 March 2019 at the Pepys Resource Centre, Deptford Strand. We have parking nearby and step free access if you want to raise this issue in person and any others.
We will make sure to take account of your comment in the draft plan and see what provisions for parking by the rail stations (Deptford Station) we can incorporate.
